A spokesman of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Friday strongly contradicted media reports about the exchange of hot words between JI chief Munawar Hasan and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif during the All-Parties Conference on Thursday.
In a statement, the JI spokesman said media reports in this regard were baseless and unfounded. He pointed out that Hasan and Nawaz presented a similar view at the APC and talked of ending the drone attacks, adopting an independent foreign policy and defending the country’s solidarity and sovereignty.
