Urging the government to immediately detach itself from the alien and so-called war on terror, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Peshawar staged a protest demonstration on Friday against US allegations and threats. Protestors led by former JI MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali and other district leaders gathered at the GT road in Hashtnagri area and spoke about the importance of the country’s sovereignty. They raised slogans against the US for threatening Pakistan. “If the US tries to look at Pakistan with maligning eyes, the entire nation will unite to fight against the world’s biggest terrorist country,” Chitrali said. He said the US forces after massacring innocent Afghans were now looking for ways to flee. He urged rulers to break the US alliance and halt the so-called war on terror.
