AIOU preparing courses as per social, economic needs: VC

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is preparing its courses continuously according to social and economic needs of the country and is being appreciated frequently at global platforms, said AIOU Vice Chancellor on Friday.
He was addressing a function held to congratulate Prof Dr Nowshad Khan for receiving the award of the best educational institute in agriculture and rural development. He said the award was an honour not only for AIOU but also for the country.
Dr Sangi said that Pakistan was an agricultural country and the majority of its population lived in rural areas, so AIOU was focusing on the courses of professional training and development of human resources for the needs of the industry, especially for those who could not continue their education due to certain constraints and wanted jobs after successful completion of such courses. Dr Sangi warmly congratulated Prof Dr Nowshad Khan for receiving the international award. Director Admissions Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain Naqvi, Director IET/PR Muhammad Qasim Haider and Shahab-ud-Din Shahab also congratulated Prof Dr. Nowshad Khan.
