Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Moonis Elahi has proved his innocence with documentary evidences against all allegations in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case but the defaulter of nationalised banks and corrupt officer Zafar Qureshi was continuously misguiding the court by giving false statements, PML-Q Information Secretary Kamil Ali Agha said on Friday.
He said that Zafar, who was trying to please the Sharifs, should be given an award for telling lies to victimise the Chaudhry family for seven months. Kamil said that Zafar, who was known as Complaint Qureshi in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for complaining more than performing his duty throughout his service, had a history of leveling accusations on his colleagues and at the time of his departure from the department, he begged pardon for what he had been doing during his stay in the department.
The PML-Q information secretary said that the day will come when Zafar will beg pardon from Moonis for his wrong doings. Kamil said that Zafar’s competency could be judged through the fact that he could not complete the investigation in seven long months. He said that Zafar should resign, as all fake witnesses backed out from their statements in court.
