US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday renewed calls on Pakistan to eliminate safe havens that militants use to launch attacks into Afghanistan, while calling for better US-Pakistani ties. “We’re certainly making clear that we want to see an end to safe havens and any kind of support from anywhere for terrorists inside Pakistan,” Clinton told reporters.
“And we also want to continue to work to put our relationship (with Pakistan) on a stronger footing,” the chief US diplomat said as US-Pakistani ties appeared worse than ever. The Pakistani government and opposition leaders on Thursday closed ranks against increasing US pressure for action against the Al-Qaeda-linked Haqqani network, refusing to be pressured into doing more in the war on terror.
US slaps sanctions on Haqqani man, four others
WASHINGTON – The US Treasury hit a “key” commander in the powerful Haqqani network with sanctions on Thursday. The Treasury said Abdul Aziz Abbasin, an Afghan native, was appointed by the Haqqani network as “the Taliban shadow governor” in Orgun district of Afghanistan. Four other figures with links to Taliban and al Qaeda activities in Afghanistan and Pakistan were named in the sanctions.
Treasury listed Afghanistan natives Hajji Faizullah Khan Noorzai and Haji Malik Noorzai as Taliban financiers. It also named Pakistan national Abdur Rehman, who operates a religious school in Karachi, as aiding the Taliban and al Qaeda logistically and financially. The fifth person named was Fazal Rahim. AFP
America has the biggest arsenal of WMDs. They are the pioneers in developing nuclear bombs and also the history of using them with impunity in Hiroshima & Nagasaki. They must now volunteer to unilaterally disarm their WMDs. If they do so, world will have been cleared of major threat to humanity. It is astonishing that America made so much noise on the incidents of 9/11 when it did not lose even 3,000 people whereas it has killed millions of people around the world conducting wars in the name of their interests. Losing less than 3,000 people on 9/11 is peanuts compared to what America has done to other people of the world. Shame!!!

This is not really truth about haji faizullah khan and haji malik noorzai have any contact with any taliban group, haji malik noorzai is a real pakistani buesinesman of japan, uae, uganda, afghanistan, pakistan etc,,, every pakhtoon knows that they have maddrasah, yes they h, but there is all the students are under 13yrs old, and this is a high level school also, God knows how did this happen come. I know personally Haji Faizullah Khan Noorzai and Haji Malik Jan Noorzai , as i was do a duty with them as a Cashier (munshe Nadeem) with them from 15-11-1995 to 15-03-1997 , during my job i realize that they are true and perfect Muslims and Businessmen , and they haven,t any contact or relation with Tahreek A Taalibaan or any other Jehaade Tanzeems , however they spent their Zaqat in a proper way to poor and needy persons , and spent their lives according to the Islam , ,,,, Finally i have never seen any activity in which i or we can blame on them , if any body want to know more about them during of that period (15-11-1995 to 15-03-1997) which i have spent with them can contact with me via by my e-mail adress [email protected] my mobile contact no is 03219393350.
