Roots celebrates first anniversary of Chinese classes

The Roots School System (RSS) on Thursday celebrated the first anniversary of the Chinese Language Department and the launch of the ‘China Radio International (CRI) – Roots School System Confucius Classroom.
The ceremony was attended by notable stakeholders and intellectuals dedicated to the cause of Pak-China friendship and the celebrations of 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. According to a press release, the event was adorned with skillfully prepared animated presentations, a visual recapitulation of the evolutionary progress of the Chinese language department.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani Ambassador to China Masood Khan, who was chief guest on the occasion, lauded the efforts of Roots School System for promoting Chinese language in Pakistan and said the move would promote cultural, social, business and educational opportunities between China and Pakistan for the benefit of the future generations. Pakistan China Institute Chairman Mushahid Hussain Sayed highlighted the cultural and lingual connection and listed the enormous collaborative opportunities for the youth of both the countries, which they can avail to an optimum level through a synergised approach.
Mushahid also praised the vision and dedication of Executive Director Faisal Mushtaq and predicted a very bright future for him as a revolutionary educationist and foresighted leader. Founder and director of Roots School System Riffat Mushtaq, Higher Education Commission , Chairman Dr Javaid R Leghari, SASSI Director General Dr Maria Sultan and Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy Zang Lianyou were amongst the guests of honour and distinguished panellists.
