Jobs being sold, alleges Chitrali

Jamaat-e-Islami ‘Shura’ member and former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Abdul Akbar Chitrali alleged on Thursday, that the Health Department authorities were selling class-iv jobs without advertisement in Chitral.
Talking to reporters at Al-Markaz-e-Isami in Peshawar, he said that he had confirmed reports that certain elements were demanding Rs 70,000 to Rs 1, 20,000 to get jobs in health department of category iv. He said that some candidates had contacted him in this regard and complained about the injustice, adding that on the other hand the Executive District Officer (EDO) Health and another Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) had said that it was the provincial minister Saleem Khan who had the authority to appoint such employees.
He threatened to encircle the office of the EDO Health if the unfair manner of job ‘allocation’ did not stop, demanding that the recruitment for class-iv jobs in Health Department should be transparent and based on merit. He also demanded the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to probe into the assets and bank balance of provincial minister Saleem Khan. Chitrali said further that there was rampant corruption prevailing in Communication and Works department also which needed to be checked.
