Though the All Parties Conference (APC) was arranged to review Pakistan’s current relationship and future cooperation with the US after it levelled serious allegations of ISI’s links with Haqqani group, the situation inside the conference was not serious all the time.
As political rivals were under a roof, some interesting things also happened there. A private TV channel reported that politicians from different political parties, desiring to further introduce themselves, offered their visiting cards to the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
There was another interesting moment when PML-N President Nawaz Sharif met AML President Sheikh Rasheed. Nawaz asked Sheikh Rasheed where he was now a days, at which, latter replied that he was there but he (Nawaz) had forgotten him.
At least 56 leaders participated in the conference and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani shook hands with all of them one by one.
