Disregard of labour laws

The labour laws are not fully applied and practiced in our country. In the marble industry, there is no concept of Benevolent Fund or Provident Fund. The APMIA has no rules well defined in this regard. What little they have as rules, they are not implemented. The minimum pay is fixed at Rs 7000 per month by the government but they pay just Rs 6000 per month. Following the rules is an exception.

There is also no concept of annual increment in the pay. They don’t make an agreement with the new employee, nor is he given medical facilities. As the relevant monitoring body of this industry won’t take any action, I request the Supreme Court to take action against the people violating the law.
