Medical expert Dr Nasreen Mozaffar said on Friday that using Mospel can cause serious skin diseases. He was attending the third meeting of the Dengue Research Group at Punjab University, which was formed to carry out research and curb dengue. University of Health Sciences’ (UHS) Dr Aslam Khan said that the female dengue mosquito bit humans from morning to evening and 2pm was its peak time. After sucking blood, the female mosquito needed to lay eggs and holes in trees and other such location are its ideal places. He said that the dengue mosquito did not rest inside homes and there were increased possibilities of its biting humans outside. He said the dengue virus was reported in the region before 1947 but after 1947, migrants used empty bottles and such other things, which stopped its breeding.
