‘Target killer’ among seven arrested

The Crime Investigation Department (CID), Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC), Rangers and police arrested seven suspects, including an alleged target killer, with weapons from different parts of the metropolitan on Thursday.
CID: A CID team headed by Senior Superintendent of Police Fayyaz Khan arrested alleged target killer Afzal alias Ganja, who is affiliated with a political party, from Orangi Town after an encounter. The accused admitted his involvement in the murders of five people in the jurisdiction of the Peerabad police. He was also involved in collecting extortion money.
ACLC: An ACLC team arrested suspect Sohail for his alleged involvement in the murder of assistant sub-inspector Sohail Akhtar and recovered a TT pistol from his possession. The suspect admitted snatching vehicles and being involved in other street crimes.
RANGERS: Rangers personnel arrested suspects Mazhar Chaudhry of the Punjabi Pakhtun Ittehad and Abid Chaudhry of the Punjabi Student Association with weapons. Both suspects were involved in incidents of firing in different parts of Golden Town.
POLICE: The Pir Ilahi Bakhsh police arrested suspect Asad for his involvement in street crimes and recovered a TT pistol from his possession. Separately, the Awami Colony police arrested suspects Shahid and Shah Muhammad from their jurisdiction with two TT pistols, extortion slips and bonds.

  1. 'Afzal alias Ganja is affliated with a political party'
    Pakistan Today has not named the party following so called journalism ethics but one Karachi daily has clearly pointed this terrorist to be affiliated to MQM. I am sure Hyder Abbas Rizvi will never own this man or would say that he was in the MQM but was thrown out of the party because of his anti-social activiities. So he said about Ajmal Pahari as well.
