At least 35 militants were killed in a ferocious gunfight with security forces in Lower Dir. According to news reports, the clashes that started on Tuesday continued until late Wednesday night in Herkai and Bishai areas of Lower Dir.
Several militants were also injured in the clashes of whom many were stated to be in critical condition, local sources said, adding that the number of deaths could rise.
