CHEER Canada Vice-President Umer Qureshi and FACES Pakistan Vice-President Javaid William on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at FACES Pakistan’s office to jointly help flood-hit Badin.
According to the document, both the non-government organisations (NGO) signed on three different projects in the flooded villages of Badin and tehsil Kandhkot of Kashmore. FACES Pakistan will now provide aqua drops for water purification in Badin, solar energy panels in Kandhkot and reconstruction of one-room core shelters in Kashmore.
After singing the MoU, Umer said that CHEER Canada was completely volunteer driven not-for-profit movement for change, aiming to improve health, education and economic condition of needy children and their families in different areas of Pakistan.
William said that FACES Pakistan had started timely relief and rescue work in flood-affected villages of Badin after unprecedented rains and floods caused widespread devastation in interior Sindh.
