Four die in various incidents

Four people died and three were injured in different incidents on Thursday.
A 28-year-old security guard, who was deployed for security of former Punjab IT minister Abdul Aleem Khan, was killed by another security guard after a scuffle at EME Housing Society in the Chungh Police precincts.
Deceased Muhammad Asif was a resident of Township. According to police, at around 1am when Asif and Zeeshan were on their routine duty, Zeeshan’s friends visited him. They exchanged harsh words in front of the guests, which infuriated Zeeshan on which he shot Asif in the temple due to which he died on the spot while the accused managed to flee. A case has been registered but no arrests have been made so far.
SCUFFLE: A man died under mysterious circumstances while two others were injured during a fight between two groups over a property dispute in the Sherakot Police precincts.
The deceased was identified as Lala Akram, 56, a resident of Babu-Sabu, Sherakot, while the injured were identified as Ahsan and Muazam Shah. According to police, two neighbours Muazzam Shah and Rana Faheem had a dispute over a plot. On Thursday, both parties exchanged harsh words during which Faheem got infuriated and shot Muazzam, which injured him and passer-by Ahsan. They were rushed to nearby hospital where they were said to be out of danger. Lala Akram, who was also watching the scuffle, died under mysterious circumstances. The Sherakot SHO claimed that Lala Akram had died a natural death, as he did not have any bullet injury. Police have failed to arrest any of the accused and no case has been registered yet.
SUICIDE: A 45-year-old drug addict committed suicide in Sandah. According to details, Shafiq alias Bhola was an addict for many years. On Thursday, Bhola’s family left the house to buy groceries and upon returning, they found Bhola hanging from the ceiling fan. The family informed police, which shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy. According to the SHO, Bhola was mentally retarded.
A 28-year-old woman, mother of four daughters, allegedly committed suicide in the South Cantonment Police precincts. Police said Shakeela Bibi, a resident of Faisal Town, was disappointed over her family’s financial problems for the last several days. Around 1am, she ate poisonous pills and went unconscious. She was rushed to nearby hospital where she expired.
INJURED: An old man was severely injured after the official car of a serving DSP hit him near Lakshmi Chowk in the Qila Gujjar Singh Police precincts. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Aown Mahmood was also sitting inside the car when the incident took place. The DSP said that the car’s brakes failed, which caused the incident. He said that his driver Asif was driving the car when this incident occurred. Aown said that the victim had received minor injuries.
