According to the initial investigation report of the Kallar Kahar bus crash, the accident was caused because of overloading and the driver’s negligence, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday.
District Police Officer Syed Ali Mohsin told the channel a case had been registered at the Kallar Kahar Police Station and a team had departed for Faisalabad to interrogate the owners of the bus and the school. However, eyewitnesses contradicted the report’s claims, saying the accident was caused because the brakes of the bus failed.
Millat Grammar School, to which the students belonged, remained closed on Wednesday. Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Tuesday said the management of motorways came under the control of the federal government, which was run by the Pakistan People’s Party of which Raja Riaz is a leader. He said the responsibility of accidents on the motorway lies on the Motorway Police, which had suspended an official in a show of responsibility.
He said Raja Riaz was only worried about issuing statements, whereas a case regarding the Kalar Kahar accident should be registered against the bosses of Raja Riaz. Sanaullah said that Riaz seemed ignorant about the jurisdictions of the federal and provincial departments, which showed that he was not qualified enough to hold a responsible office or the provincial assembly’s membership.
Sanaullah expressed grief over the tragic bus accident in which 37 children and their teacher died and said that the entire nation mourned the loss of lives. He said if the motorway police had stopped the overloaded bus, the accident could be averted. However he condemned political scoring over the accident by Raja Riaz.
He said the motorway works under the Communication Department of the federal government and ensuring the safety of the journey was its responsibility. He said the Punjab chief minister had ordered free treatment of all the injured children. He asked Riaz, who belongs to Faisalabad, to advise the president and the prime minister to remove the federal minister for communication in order to reduce the grief of the residents of Faisalabad.

Is there anyone who could regulate these departments? Answers would be big No!!! perhaps Pakistan would be the only country in world where there is no law exist. People always run for short term solution but usually do,t look into the roots of problems.
