Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Tuesday sought a reply by October 5 from IGP on a petition seeking a change in investigation officer in Nishtar Colony staged encounter case. The CJ passed the order on a petition filed by Seema, mother of Constable Asif Bhatti, one of the suspects in the case. The petitioner’s counsel Aftab Bajwa submitted in court that the case’s investigation had been handed over to DIG Ali Amir Malik. The counsel said that the DIG told the petitioner that he could not investigate the matter as he had been the head of the investigation team earlier in the case. .
