Coaxing the school administration into believing they were parents of schoolchildren, armed bandits gained entry to a private educational institution on Tuesday and looted cash and valuables from staff and students alike. The unidentified gunmen had reportedly arrived at the Abbasi Public School in the Bhittai Colony area of Korangi and sought permission to go inside claiming to be parents of some students.
Once they entered the school premises, the robbers made the principal and other teaching staff hostage on gunpoint and went on a looting spree. The police have registered a case against the unidentified persons.
