SPARC Lahore will hold the inception meeting of the Child Rights Movement (CRM) Punjab chapter at the SPO Regional Office on Wednesday. A group of likeminded NGOs have collaborated and decided that there was an urgent need to start a child rights movement in the country to tackle the widespread violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of children. The movement, they said, could not be initiated without the active participation of all civil society actors coming together on a single forum. CRM was established at the national level with the aim to work jointly for the promotion and protection of child rights in Pakistan.
