The public’s participation in the Punjab government’s unprecedented fight against dengue would make the drive more effective, said speakers at a seminar held at the Government Township College, Lahore. PML-N MNA Naseer Bhutta and MPA Rana Mubashar Iqbal addressed students while principal Ijaz Butt presided over the seminar. Speakers urged students to do their civic duty and help eradicate the disease.
A seminar was also held at the Government MAO College in which Punjab Health Parliamentary Secretary Saeed Elahi, MNA Khawaja Saad Rafique, MPAs Khawaja Imran Nazeer and Majida Haeed, Dr Masood Akhtar and Ayesha Khalid addressed the congregation. At a seminar held at the Allama Iqbal Medical College Auditorium on Monday, speakers said that dengue could be controlled if a collective initiative to make a clean environment was taken. The seminar was arranged jointly by the City Traffic Police and Allama Iqbal Medical College. Addressing the congregation, Allama Medical College Principal Muhammad Akram said a joint effort from all segments of society was required to eradicate dengue, which was wreaking havoc with public health, especially in Lahore.
Dengue seminar at Civil Lines College today: A dengue awareness seminar will be held at the Government Islamia College, Civil Lines, Lahore (today) Tuesday at 10am at the auditorium hall of the collage. Punjab Health Additional Director Dr Azhar Masood Bhatti and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Masood Sheikh will attend the event.
