Expressing its dissatisfaction over the pace of progress regarding investigations into Mastung incident which caused the death of 26 pilgrims and three others, Balochistan High Court (BHC) asked the Supreme Court of Pakistan and other senior lawyers to assist the court.
The court took suo moto notice of the incident and directed the issuing of notices to authorities concerned. The bench comprised Chief Justice Qazi Faez Essa and Justice Hashim Khan Kakar on Monday. The Advocate General Balochistan submitted a statement on behalf of Secretary Home Department Government of Balochistan stating that a high level committee was formed to investigate the security lapses.
