Even after sacrificing 35,000 lives, Pakistan’s role in the ‘war on terror’ are being ignored completely, Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ahsan Iqbal said while talking to a private TV channel.
He said if the government had taken an aggressive stance against America’s Abbottabad incursion, it would not have received threats today. He was also critical of the fact that the country had no foreign minister for many months which meant the country’s case was not being pleaded at the global forum.
He said it was unfortunate that the government had enforced the NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) on the people with the connivance of UK and the US and now the same countries were turning their backs on it.
