The Indian Intelligence Bureau on Sunday issued the fourth security alert for the Mumbai International Airport since a blast occurred outside the Delhi High Court in September this year.
The alert warned of a ‘9/11-like attack’. It stated that a small plane could be hijacked from the Karnataka’s Hubli airport and then be rammed into the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. Security had been tightened at the airport and the National Security Guards (NSG) had been deployed.
