Unidentified men killed the manager of a local factory at his office in Shafiqabad police precincts on Sunday. The victim, identified as Rana Ishtiaq Waheed, 44, resident of Shafiqabad, worked as a manager at Afreed Engineering Factory in Shafiqabad. Yesterday, he was sitting at his office when two unidentified men barged into his office, shot him and fled.
The victim’s son has suspected his father has been killed by those who were not allowing his father to purchase a plot. The body of a 20-year-old man, yet to be identified, was found in Sattukatla police precincts on Sunday. The body was found lying in an empty plot of PIA Society, G-Block.
ACCIDENT: A 50-year-old woman was run over by a car in Shadman police precincts on Sunday. The woman was rushed to Services Hospital where she died.
FOUND IN A DRAIN: Decomposed body of a 25-year-old man was recovered from a drain in Kahna police precincts on Sunday. A police official said that a passer-by spotted the body in a drain near Dhoop Sari Colony on Kacha Road. He added that the victim was killed by some men three days ago as the body was decomposed.
CHILD ABANDONED: An unknown woman left a dead newborn at children’s ward of Mayo Hospital on Sunday.
Army Peon: A 35-year-old peon in Pakistan Army died after a collision with a speeding car in the Defence A Police precincts on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Shahzad Niaz, resident of Main Walton Road. Police said Shahzad Niaz was commuting on his motorcycle but when he reached Defence Mor, a speeding car struck him. Police said the occupants abandoned the car and escaped.
