The 12th International Symposium on Advanced Materials is being held from September 26 to September 30 at National Centre of Physics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. This biennial event has become one of the prime international forums at which material engineers and scientists keep themselves abreast of recent technologies and new developments in advanced structural and functional materials, said a press release issued here on Sunday.
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi will grace the opening ceremony as the chief guest, which will be held at 9:30am on Monday (today) at National Centre of Physics, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. The closing ceremony will be held on September 30, 2011, at 4pm at the same venue. Special feature of the symposium is the one-day workshop on ‘Advanced Ceramics’ on September 28, 2011.
State Minister for Professional & Technical Training Sardar Shahjehan Yousaf will inaugurate the workshop at the same venue.Scientists and engineers from all over the world, including France, Greece, Turkey, China, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Japan, Canada, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Slovakia, in addition to 250 delegates from various educational and R&D institutions from Pakistan, will participate in the symposium.
