The Gilgit Youth Football School Championship under the auspicious of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will start from September 26 to Otober 3 at City Park Football Ground in Gilgit Baltistan.
According to an official of the PFF, eight teams of Government High Schools of Gilgit Baltistan are taking part in this tournament. Gilgit Baltistan Football Association is the local host of the event. He further stated that this was a special joint initiative of PFF and Australian Government for the promotion of football on regional basis in Pakistan which would reflect the vision of PFF President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat of exploring young football talent in far flung areas of Pakistan.
PFF General Secretary Col (r) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi has expressed deep gratitude to Australian High Commission Islamabad First Political Secretary Peter Bartlett for his special efforts to bring this project in Pakistan. Participating teams are: Basin River of Government High School Basin, Snow Leopards of Government High School No 1 Gilgit, Rakha Poshi of Government High School Danyor, Dobani Peak of Government High School Oshkhandas, Kashrote Wadi of Government High School Kashmore, Gem of Government High School Aliabad, Ibex of Government High School Amphary and Markhore of Government High School No 2, Gilgit.
