21 arrested in surgical operations

Five alleged target killers were among the 21 other suspects arrested the law enforcing agencies’ surgical operations on Friday.
According to the details, the Anti-Extremism Cell of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) conducted raids in Mochko, Ittehad Town and Shanti Nagar areas and arrested five alleged target killers, Asif Khan, Mohammad Naveed, Mohammad Faisal, Mumtaz Ali and Rajab Ali. “Two Kalashnikovs and five TT pistols were recovered from the possession of arrested persons,” said SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam Khan.
The arrested men have confessed to killing several people, the police official added. The Rangers arrested 16 people from Machar Colony and Shanti Nagar and recovered weapons from their possession. The police also arrested the former station house officer of the New Karachi Industrial Area police station, Amir Khan alias Chulbul Panday, for lodging a fake case against the residents of his jurisdiction.
Separately, the body of four-year-old child was found in Bilal Colony and later shifted to the Jinnah hospital.
