The Sunni Tehreek (ST) on Friday staged a protest outside the Lahore Press Club demanding release of slain Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer’s killer Mumtaz Qadri. Protesters were carrying Qadri’s photos, placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of the assassin, who has pleaded guilty of murder in court. Addressing the protestors, Abdul Rasool said that if Qadri was given the death sentence, the whole nation would besiege the Parliament House.
