‘Target killer’ and two ‘extortionists’ remanded

An alleged target killer and two suspected extortionists were remanded into police custody in different courts on Wednesday. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police produced a suspect named Anwar Hussain allegedly involved in targeted killing in different courts of judicial magistrates and obtained his physical remand in different cases of murder, attempts to murder and police encounters. The Kharadar police produced two alleged extortionists, Asif and Jamal, in the court of Judicial Magistrate Adam Sanghar and obtained their remand until September 23. The suspects had threatened the owner of a dental clinic in Kharadar to pay up or face the consequences. The police arrested them red-handed when they arrived at the doctor’s clinic to claim the extortion money.
