The PML-N itself has a militant wing in the party, PPP leaders said in a joint press conference on Tuesday.
They also stressed the PML-N leadership should focus on helping flood victims instead of playing politics. The press conference was attended by PPP leaders including Raja Pervez Ashraf, Sindh Minister for Information Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Sharjeel Inam Memon, and Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro.
They said they appreciated Mian Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Sindh’s flood affected areas but it is not a time for politics when people were suffering from floods and dengue. Reacting to Nawaz Sharif’s demand to holding fresh elections, the PPP leaders said general elections will be held in due time. According to them, the PPP was not afraid of general elections but questioned whether it was appropriate to ask flood and dengue-affected people for votes? Referring to Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with SNF Chief Mumtaz Bhutto, Raja Parvez Ashraf said that these people have never visited flood affected areas or extended support to them. Without mentioning Bhutto he said that those who are unable to win a union council seat were criticising the PPP.
On other hand, he said, President Zardari was personally monitoring the relief and rehabilitation activities after a medical check up. He said the government does not claim 100 percent assistance to flood victims but was trying its best and said flood victims will be given Rs 40,000 each after conducting collecting figures by NADRA and a third party. To another question former federal minister for water and power, admitted that design of the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) was controversial. However, he said, the flood only broke out when water discharge exceeded its capacity.

  1. If other parties have militant wings then PML-N leadership have banned terrorist groups whose Archbishop is Mr. Rana Sanaullah. In fact all political and religious parties have criminals who are willing to do any dirty job.
