PIA airlifting relief goods for rain-hit people free-of-charge

In view of the devastating rains and floods in Sindh, the Pakistan International Airlines has launched its relief operation and started airlifting relief goods free-of-charge from its stations in Pakistan and abroad.
PIA Managing Director Nadeem Khan Yousufzai reviewed the relief operation on Tuesday at the airline’s head office.
Standards and Special Projects Director Captain Junaid Younus, Corporate Safety and Quality Assurance Chief Pilot Captain Adnan Haris and officials of the PIA Emergency Response Centre briefed the managing director about the operation.  The PIA has dispatched two trucks load of ration bags, medicines and mineral water to the flood-affected areas in Sindh.
The PIA Emergency Response Centre is coordinating the operation while PIA Scouts have been actively engaged in collecting, loading and distributing relief goods. The managing director instructed the officials to ensure effective uplifting of relief goods.
The PIA is airlifting relief goods free-of-charge and donors can handover the specified items to the PIA offices in Pakistan and abroad.
