Madhuri, Commando remanded till 27th

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) extended the physical remand of two alleged attackers involved in the Chakra Goth violence case until September 27 ATC Administrative Judge Justice Maqbool Baqar granted the extension in remand of Kamran Madhuri and Sohail Commando on the request of the case investigation officer. The alleged accused were brought to the court in ambulances amid tight security of law enforcers and presented before the administrative judge on stretchers.
On September 12, complainant of the case, Ashiq Chandio, a resident of Chakra Goth, had identified both the suspects before the Judicial Magistrate (East). According to the prosecution, on August 20, Madhuri, Commando and their accomplices had attacked a locality in Chakra Goth and then a passenger bus. In the first incident, two persons were killed and seven others injured while miscreants had also torched vehicles and looted shops. In the other incident, the attackers opened fire on a passenger bus, in which four police officers were shot dead and 27 others suffered injuries.
