The medical and paramedical staff of the Sindh Employees Social Institution (SESSI) provided exemplary medical aid to flood survivors in 2010 and they need to repeat that performance this year as well, provincial Labour Minister Amir Nawab said on Tuesday. He was speaking at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Award distribution ceremony. “The SESSI medical teams provided best facilities to the flood-hit people at its hospitals, dispensaries and medical camps in Sindh,” Nawab added. He appealed to the medical and paramedic staff to work with same spirit as done earlier and provide medical help to the people affected by the rains and floods this year. Later, the minister distributed awards among the doctors and paramedics. Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and Pakistan People’s Party Sindh Secretary General Taj Haider also spoke on the occasion.
