PFF retains Lodhi as secretary for next term

The Pakistan Football Federation with the approval of its Congress on Saturday reappointed Col (retd) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi as secretary of the PFF for another term.
The PFF Congress and its Executive Committee met here at the PFF Secretariat with PFF President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat in the chair.
The PFF President welcomed all the Congress and Executive Committee members and AFC representative James Johnson.
James He appreciated and felicitated the efforts of all the provincial elections commissioners and PFF Secretariat for conducting fair, free and impartial elections including scrutiny of clubs and formulation of comprehensive elections rules and directives 2011.
He said that further acceleration in football activities will be done with the pro-active participation by the PFF subordinate units. Therefore, in the next term (2011-2015) the PFF will ensure measure to make the provinces more active in conducting of various football activities including A division and junior leagues independently without depending on financial support from the PFF. All these activities will be managed, financed and controlled by generating their own resources.
During the Congress meeting, the calendar of activities 2012, audited statement of accounts and proposal for starting the award of excellence to the best provincial associations, department and clubs was also approved.
The Executive Committee unanimously approved the various standing committees, the restructuring of the PFF secretariat and reappointment of Lt. Col. (retd) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi as General Secretary PFF for the term 2011-15 as proposed by President PFF. The house also approved the appointment of Agha Ajmal as the media manager of the PFF.
