Judge in trouble for changing order

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued a notice to Okara Additional Sessions Judge Bakht Fakhar Behzad and sought a reply on a petition alleging him of changing an order after pronouncing it in court.
Petitioner Advocate Ghulam Ahmed Chisti said that his political opponent involved him in a murder case and he secured a pre-arrest bail from the trail court on August 3. The court had issued a notice t for August 24 on a bail application but he went to perform Umrah and submitted an application in the trail court to exempt him from a personal appearance on August 24. He said that on August 24, Judge Behzad accepted his application and announced in the open court that the case had been adjourned until September 10.
After his return, he came to know that the judge on the same day had done away with the earlier order and replaced it with a new one wherein the petitioner’s application was dismissed. He said that the judge also prepared a ‘cause-list’ on August 24 with fresh dates. The petitioner requested the court to set aside the new order and that Judge Behzad should be prosecuted.
