ANP concerned over MQM rejoining govt

The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday expressed serious reservations about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) expected return to the federal and Sindh governments.
ANP Punjab General Secretary Ahsan Wyne, holding a press conference at the Lahore Press Club, termed the MQM as a terrorist party and said that all political parties know that the party was involved in target killing, land grabbing and extortion just to keep its control over Karachi.
He said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s decision to retract from his controversial remarks about ANP President Asfandar Yar Wali Khan was in fact another tactic of blackmailing. Wyne said that Altaf’s remarks were disgusting, as even opponents of the ANP could not level corruption charges on its leadership.
