Adopting Indian culture

Pakistan and India haven’t been on good bilateral terms since their creation. Religious differences gave a rise to distinct cultures which led to dissimilar thoughts between the people of these nations. No matter how peace abiding and liberal nations we become, never can either of them let go of past and appalling historic events which increased the enmity heavily.

However, Pakistani nation stands on an undesirable path. It has become extremely evident from today’s lifestyle of people, the extent to which Indian culture is adopted. Starting from Bollywood films to adopting their TV shows. Today, the topmost watched channels in Pakistan are Indians which influence Indian lifestyle. Cinemas of Pakistan show Indian films. This has led to adverse effects on people, especially the youth which has increasingly adopted their culture.

The originality of Pakistan has reduced. Western and Indian cultures are now common to see. Contrary to that the extreme hatred still exists in the people, evident in the last Cricket World Cup. Hence, we are not only adopting their culture but also despise them at the same time.

Pakistanis need to take into account these facts and boost up culture of our homeland, Pakistan.
