16-year-old girl commits suicide

A 16-year-old girl, who had taken poisonous pills, expired in a local hospital in the Burki Police precincts on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Rizwana Bibi, daughter of Jahangir Khan of Theatre Village. Police said that Rizwana had taken poisonous pills after a minor scuffle with her mother. She was shifted to a local hospital in a critical condition, where she expired. Police shifted her body to the city morgue for an autopsy.
FIRE: Valuables worth thousands of rupee were reduced to ashes when fire broke out due to short-circuiting in a house near Urdu Bazaar.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, fire broke out in house of Muhafiz Ali of Sultani Mohalla. Valuables, furniture and other articles worth thousands of rupees were gutted. Rescue 1122 officials reached the spot soon after being informed and managed to control the fire after much effort.
INJURED: A man was seriously injured when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed near Sheller Chowk. The house was owned by Muhammad Amin, son of Muhammad Qasim. Local residents and Rescue 1122 officials rescued the inmates. The injured was shifted to a local hospital where he was said to be out of danger.
