Dr Raees Mushtaq, the author of “Key to Success”, addressing a session titled “Meet the Press”, at the Lahore Press Club, termed good leadership to be the solution for Pakistan’s long-standing problems. Dr Raees pointed out the complexity of judicial system which had deprived the poor of justice. He said “a piece of land” was acquired in 1947 but the nation still had to be discovered. The language of lawyers and judges was not understandable by commoners, he said, advising the use of a simplified local language in courts. He also suggested banning private practice of doctors, monitoring the funds of NGOs and training students and labourers about rescue works. He said his book could be helpful if a sincere leader had an urge to solve the country’s problems. Lahore Press Club (LPC) President Sarmad Bashir, treasurer Afzaal Talib and members of LPC’s governing body were present at the session, where Dr Raees was given LPC’s honorary membership.
