Constable accused of raping maid

A resident of Dubanpura, Sabzazar, said on Sunday that a police constable Usman Baig had raped her few months back and threatened her to not speak to anyone about it. The victim (F) along with her husband and family staged a protest against the police constable in front of Lahore Press Club and blocked the road for several hours. As a result, traffic was blocked on adjacent roads. The victim said that she worked in different houses as a maid. She said that a resident of Al-Hamd Colony, Usman Baig, a police constable along with her wife Bano hired her as a maid. After a few days, Usman gave her a drink and she lost consciousness upon having it. He raped her and made videos of her.
After that he started sexually harassing and threatening her to dire consequences if she told anyone about this. She also alleged that Usman had hired Afzal and Gulnaz as his secretaries who seduced needy girls and persuaded them to establish illicit relations with Usman and other men. She claimed that Usman was used to made videos of innocent girls and sold them to foreign countries. Sabzazar police have registered a case no. 762/11 on the complaint of the girl under section 376/109 against the accused. The victim girl appealed to the police higher ups to take action against the accused who destroyed several innocent lives and to give them exemplary punishment.
ARIAL FIRING: An 8-years-old girl died while her paternal uncle sustained serious bullet injuries due to aerial firing at a wedding in the Nishter Colony Police precincts. The deceased was identified as Humaira, 8, a resident of Saroba Garden. The police said that Humaira was attending a wedding ceremony of one of his relatives Naeem. A few guests at the wedding under the influence of liquor started firing in the air. The bullets fired shot Humaira and her uncle Mukhtar and they were injured as a result. Some locals rushed them to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Humaira dead while her uncle was in a critical condition. Police removed the body of the deceased to the city morgue for autopsy and registered a case on the complaint of deceased’s uncle against the gunmen at the wedding and started investigation.
BODIES FOUND: The body of a 40-year-old man, who was kidnapped by unknown kidnappers from the Green Town police precincts was found from a drain in the Township police precincts. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Akram, resident of Green Town. The body of was found, packed in sack from a drain located at Chandni Chowk, Township. Muhammad Ashraf, a resident of Green Town Area contacted the Township Police and identified the deceased as his brother Muhammad Akram. Ashraf claimed that his brother was kidnapped by unidentified kidnappers on September 15, who demanded Rs 1 million as ransom but later killed him after subjecting him to torture. He claimed that he went to the Green Town Police Station in order to get a case registered about his brother’s kidnap but policemen did not bother to register his complaint. The Police have registered a case and have started probing into the matter.
SWINDLING: Swindlers killed a 50-year-old man by giving him poisonous biscuits in Naulakha police jurisdiction on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Manzoor Hussain, a resident of Multan. According to the police, the deceased had come to Lahore because of some work when unidentified swindlers gave him poisonous biscuits which caused his immediate death.
