Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has withdrawn his statement against Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali, saying that he has no evidence to prove his claim.
In his statement issued from London, MQM chief said he had asserted amid a press conference that ANP leader Asfandyar Wali took money from United States, but he had no proof in support of his statement.
He admitted that his statement had hurt feelings of many ANP leaders as well as party workers, which he said was a source of utmost grief for him, adding that he withdraws his statement.
“I want to eliminate conflicts,” he claimed because according to him, “the country needs solidarity at this juncture.”
He said only those Pakistanis can understand the gravity of politics of reconciliation who have laid down sacrifices for the survival of our dear homeland.
