The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) conducted search operations in different areas of the city on Sunday and arrested more than 32 people. Rangers and police cordoned off Sector 36-B of Zia Colony in Korangi and conducted raids at selected houses, arresting 12 people from the area and recovering weapons from their possession. Later, the LEAs conducted a house-to-house search operation and arrested five more people. The LEAs also carried out a search operation in the PNT Colony area of Gizri and arrested nine people from the area. Another operation was conducted in Gulzarabad area of Manghopir, where 14 suspects were held and weapons were recovered. The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) conducted a raid in Data Nagar area of Orangi Town and arrested an alleged target killer, Nooruddin. Following information retrieved from the suspect, the SIU found the body of an unidentified man from a house in Data Nagar and also recovered two TT pistols and hundreds of bullets. An SIU official said that the arrested man has confessed to killing more than three people.The police conducted a search operation in Bakhtawar Goth of Sachal Colony and arrested three men, Jannat Khan, Karamatullah and Irshad. Three TT pistols were seized from the arrested suspects.
