Two people died in an accident in the Shahdra Police precincts on Saturday. Muhammad Arif, 30, a resident of Mourkhunda, and his friend were going home in a Bolan mini-van and as they neared Begam Kot, a truck coming from the opposite side hit the van tumbling it into a deep ditch and killing both, Arif and his friend.
The door of the van had to be cut out for the bodies to be removed. After completing procedural steps, police handed over the bodies to their heirs. Man dies of drug overdose: A man was found dead in the Shafiqbad Police precincts. Inspector Ishtiaq told Pakistan Today that a 35-year-old man was found dead near Azadi Chowk. He said local residents spotted the body and informed police.
Several announcements were made in the area but no one came to claim the body. The body was sent to the morgue.
