Member of the Indian parliament and vice president of the Indian cricket board, Rajiv Shukla, will be cleared as the next Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner on Monday at the annual general meeting of the BCCI, according to sources.
According to Indian media reports, the BCCI will give its stamp of approval at the meeting in Mumbai on Monday evening.
Shukla has support across board in BCCI with both Sharad Pawar and BJP leader Arun Jaitley pushing his cause.
Chirayu Amin, the current IPL chairman, is likely to step down from the position at the meeting.
