Three people were killed in the city on Friday. Unidentified people attacked a car near City Courts and sprayed Atma Ram and his driver Rafique with bullets. Both men died on the spot and their bodies were shifted to the Jinnah hospital.
A man named Tanveer was killed in Sector 16 of Orangi Town by unidentified assailants. The victim’s friend Alauddin also suffered bullet injuries. Separately, a man was also shot dead in Mohammadi Goth. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained till this report was filed.
In another incident, unidentified people mugged a man in Malir and set him on fire. He shifted to the Civil hospital with burn injuries. The trader of Shershah scrap market, Sheikh Khalid, who was abducted from his shop some two days ago, was released. Sources said that the trader was released after he paid extortion money to the kidnappers.
