Vested interests destroying Karachi on purpose

The Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif said that some vested interests were destroying peace in Karachi on purpose.
Nawaz Sharif who was addressing workers during a party convention said many parties were behind the violence and the city was destabilised on purpose.
“If the situation was solved in the parliament than the court would not have to take a suo moto notice,” said Nawaz who also attributed the government’s failure as the reason behind the violence. He said strict punishment should be given to those behind the violence in Karachi.
The PML-N chief said the present government was ruining the situation in the country on purpose and if the right decision meant calling for a revolution than he would make that call. He added that if the government stopped extravagant spending than there would be no need for foreign assistance. He said the government is not spending the common man’s money properly.
On the electricity shortfall in the country, Nawaz Sharif said the government could end loadshedding. “If there is electricity than several problems will be solved,” he said.
The PML-N chief said a power plant for generating 500 megawatts electricity is lying at Karachi port but it could not be made operational so far because of some corrupt elements. He said the country is facing 4,500MW electricity shortfall which could be reduced by installing such power plants.
During the PML-N’s last tenure, he mentioned, the government laid the network of roads, especially the Motorway, but that ended with the fall of government and the process of development stopped. He said there was no terrorism or suicide blasts during his rule. If given the chance, he said, he would again take bold decisions to draw the country out of the multiple crises.
