It’s official now – Mallika Sherawat will shake a leg with Simbu for the Tamil version of the superhit ‘Munni’ number in the Dharani-directed Vosthi, the Tamil remake of Dabangg.
Confirming the news, Simbu said, “It’s true that Mallika Sherawat has confirmed to do the number. We were in talks with Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan to do the song. Though both of them were interested, they couldn’t do it due to clash of dates. The makers had approached Mallika and she will dance for it.” Mallika Sherawat’s last outing in Kollywood was in Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam.
The buzz in Kollywood is that the hottie has been paid a bomb to do the song. When we quizzed Simbu about it, he said, “I’m not sure about the financial part of it.” The song, which is being composed by music director Thaman currently, is touted to be one of the highlights of the film.
“It will be sung by a special person,” Thaman had told us recently. The song is likely to be shot in Hyderabad at the end of this month.
