Former Law Minister Babar Awan called on Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad here at the Governor House on Friday.
According to spokesman for the Governor House, the governor and Babar Awan discussed the overall political situation and law and order in Karachi.
Talking to media after the meeting, Babar Awan said the PPP government was taking forward the policy of reconciliation and the nation is reaping its fruit. He said despite problems, the government has achieved success on many fronts.
Awan said that President Asif Ali Zardari has already apologised to the people of Balochistan and tried his best to remove their sense of deprivation. He emphasised that the PPP government restored the 1973 constitution in its original shape by introducing the 18th and 19th constitutional amendments. He added that peace was restored in Swat due to government’s reconciliation policy.
