Anam Ramzan, 15, was strangled by her uncle Talib Hussain over her alleged illicit relation with a neighbour on Wednesday.
Hussain, residing in his brother-in-law’s house in Ghousia Park, Shera Kot police precincts, had repeatedly warned Anam to mend her character. On the day of the incident, Talib strangled the girl when she was alone at home.
A case was registered against Hussain on the complaint of the deceased’s father.
ROOF COLLAPSED: Allah Dita, 60, died while his wife, son and daughter sustained injuries when roof of their dilapidated house collapsed in the Model Town Police precincts on Wednesday.
Some locals informed Rescue officials on seeing the roof collapse, who brought Allah Dita, Gulnaz, Jahangir and Mahnoor out of the debris and rushed them Jinnah Hospital where Allah Dita succumbed to his injuries while doctors stated the conditions of his wife, son and daughter stable.
BODIES FOUND: Two unidentified men were found dead from the Bhatti Gate and Islampura Police precincts on Wednesday.
A 35-year-old man was found dead near Data Darbar. Some passersby spotted the body and informed the police which moved the body to city morgue for autopsy.
Separately, Islampura Police found a body of a 55-year-old man and moved it to city morgue for autopsy. Police officials suspected that both men died of drug overdose.
