Qaim and co look to heavens for help

A special prayer, namaz-e-tauba (prayer of repentance), was offered at the Jamia mosque of the Sindh Chief Minister (CM)’s House on Wednesday. The prayer was offered by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh President/CM Qaim Ali Shah; former federal minister Raja Pervez Ashraf; provincial ministers Muhammad Sajid Jokhio, Haji Muzaffar Shajra and Rafique Engr; CM’s Political Coordinator Muhammad Siddique Abu Bhai; CM’s Special Assistant Muhammad Ismail Daheri; Imtiaz Mallah; PPP office-bearers and activists; and other organisations of the party.
Following the prayer, a special dua was offered for requesting God to bestow His blessings on the people of the province, to put an end to the heavy rains, and to save the innocent and the underprivileged masses from the dengue virus and terrorism. They prayed to God for providing courage to the people of the province to face all the disadvantages and challenges. The prayer of repentance was also offered in various mosques across the province.
According to a press release issued by the PPP, the special prayer was offered in the five districts of the city. PPP Karachi President Najmi Alam, General Secretary Saeed Ghani, Information Secretary Latif Mughal and other office-bearers of the party also attended the prayer.
