The one-month pre-Haj flight operation would start from September 30 to take around 80,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia under the government scheme. According to the Religious Affairs Ministry’s sources, the inaugural flight would take off from Quetta at 6.30pm, while regular flights from other cities of the country would also start the same day. Another Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight would take off from Peshawar on September 30 at 8.45pm. The PIA, Saudi Airline, Shaheen Airlines and Naz Airlines of Saudi Arabia would operate flights to complete the first phase within around 30 days.
